Sofia Tormenta

Sofía Tormenta (b. 1989, Buenos Aires, Argentina) is a multidisciplinary visual artist and performer whose practice explores the intersection of sound, material, and perception. Working with industrial materials and elemental contrasts such as light and darkness, silence and noise, Tormenta constructs objects and installations that question the boundaries between sculpture and instrument. In her recent work, she has been developing her own sound devices, integrating music as both a medium and a structural element. Her projects often investigate dualities fragility and force, visibility and concealment transforming physical matter into spaces of sensory tension and resonance.
